As you all know, I'm all about the simple, effortless vibes when it comes to my brides. I wanted to create soft and minimalist visuals, with an editorial feel - playing with texture and light.

Shot at the Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major, South Wales. The inspiration and concept for this shoot came from hazy summer days. Playing with the bright light and shadows, while bringing in different textures, pairing with soft neutral tones.

This was also my vision for makeup and hair. I wanted to show the simplicity, but also beauty in super fresh and stripped back hair and makeup. Opting for light, sheer makeup bases, embracing the natural texture in Alexia’s curls and playing with super cool easy knots/buns for Laura.

There is no skin retouching on these images.

Meg from Wild Fern Photography allowed the models to move freely and took every opportunity to capture the bursts of sunshine coming through the epic floor to ceiling windows in the venue, which give us the perfect juxtaposition of light and shade in the images. The black and white selection feeling like their own little edit.

To bring life to the simple white back drops and being in that natural feel texture, Del from Rosedew added some neutral soft linen sheets in disheveled arrangements on the wall. Rachel Burgess’ textured yet simple dresses and the dried, fluffy florals from Beth at Forbesfield were also worked into this concept, adding more texture without the need for more fussy backdrops.
